The Number-One Basketball Camp was the first to
offer a boy’s mini-camp in 1985. In the summer of 1989, several
camps in Georgia offered a similar camp with fewer games
guaranteed at a higher price.
Entering our 23rd year of the boy’s mini-camp, we
are looking forward to another successful weekend of competition
on three levels: middle school, junior varsity and varsity.
After giving first priority to last summer’s
teams, we will accept others on a first come, first serve basis
upon receiving a $400.00 deposit which is not refundable, but
will be applied to your team’s balance. A limited number of
teams are accepted on each level.

CAMP HISTORY
In our 22nd summer of camp, we take pride
in being the original camp in Georgia to combine the team and
fundamentals concept. Many camps have developed during the past
14-15 years using our system. The concept has proven to be
successful and popular with players and coaches since 1976.
While we have maintained low camp fees we have continued to
grow. The outstanding group of coaches who have been members of
our staff, plus players and attending coaches have helped
accomplish this.
Our objective is to keep the enrollment of
campers and teams at a size that can meet the needs of the team
without losing sight of the individual participant.
After reviewing many other camp brochures,
statements like “most competitive camp play in the nation,”
“best camp in the state,” etc., appear on many of them. The
Number-One camp promises only that we will provide essentially
the same or better experience while costing less than most.
Many Varsity and JV teams that have attended
previous camps have experienced successful seasons. Examples:
East Laurens, Jimmy Williams; Banks Co., Mike Ruth; St. Francis,
Jack Teague; Cherokee Co., Rick Glasper; Forest Park, Lamar
Oglesby, Gainesville, Jerry Davis; Lakeview Academy, Seth Vining;
Forsyth Central, Steve Barnes; North Forsyth, Phil Moore; Coosa,
Larry Bing; Tattnall Co., Doug Hassoll; Toombs Co., Donnie
Arrington; Glascock Co., John Bowen; Commerce, Rex Gregg;
Appling Co., Jessie Massey; Screven Co., Arthur Davis;
Hawkinsville, Greg Ellison; Brooks, AL, Eric Tate; Dawson Co.,
Grady Turner; and GAC, Todd Wisenbaker.
Middle schools include: Banks Co., John Bertrang;

Tucker; Lovejoy, Leon Dillard; East Hall, Rick Conner;
